CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
By following these steps, your louvre system—and its motor—will stay clean, well maintained, and operate smoothly for years to come!

Materials Needed:
Soft cloth or microfiber cloth
Mild detergent or dish soap
Water
Soft brush (e.g., a paintbrush or a small broom)
Hose or bucket of water
Ladder (if needed, for high areas)
Motor oil or lubricant (if applicable to your system)
Steps:
1. Prepare Cleaning Solution: Mix a few drops of mild detergent or dish soap with warm water in a bucket.
2. Dust the System: Use a soft brush to remove any dust, dirt, or cobwebs from the louvres. Gently sweep along the edges and surfaces.
3. Wipe Down the System: Dampen the microfiber cloth in the soapy water, then wipe down each louvre panel. Start at the top and work your way down.
4. Rinse with Water: After wiping, rinse the panels with clean water to remove any soap residue. You can use a hose or pour water from a bucket.
5. Dry the Surface: Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe the louvres dry to prevent water spots.
6. Avoid Abrasive Cleaners: Do not use abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the surface finish of the aluminium. Also, avoid using high-pressure washing, as it could harm the system.
7. Check for Stubborn Dirt: If there are any stubborn spots, apply a small amount of mild cleaner directly to the affected area and scrub gently.
8. Maintain the Motor: If your louvre system has a motorized mechanism, check it regularly for smooth operation. Ensure the motor is clean and free of dust or debris. Lubricate the motor and moving parts as recommended by the manufacturer to prevent wear and maintain efficiency.
9. Inspect Regularly: Periodically inspect your louvre system for any signs of damage or wear, such as loose panels, rust, or motor issues. Regular maintenance will help extend its lifespan.
Cleaning your louvre system every 3 to 6 months is sufficient to keep them looking great and free from debris. If you live in an area with heavy dust, pollen, or pollution, you may want to clean them more often.
If you’ve had a storm or a period of heavy rain, it’s a good idea to inspect and clean your louvres to ensure no dirt or debris has accumulated.
